  Overall we had a great time at the cabin. The river was in short walking distance and the water was very nice. excellent shade from the cypress trees. the cabin was roomy for our party of four. I was impressed that the kitchen was fully stocked with all of the cookware, utensils, plates ...etc. The BBQ pit does need some maintenance but we were able to have our bbq. I didn't know that there was a fire pit, we will have to take advantage of that in a winter or spring trip. what I would add would be railing for the bunk beds, especially the top one. My daughter was hesitant to sleep on the top one for fear of rolling off.

  We loved staying in Cabin 4! It's under some beautiful trees with a nice area in front and adequate space between it and the cabins on either side. Definitely within walking distance of the river which made it so convenient to take chairs and coolers down to the river for an afternoon of sitting in the water and relaxing when not tubing. The cabin was very clean when we got there and has pretty much anything you need in the kitchen. (Except ice cube trays -- couldn't find any of those to make ice.) On the down side: The furniture had mismatched cushions and also a tear in a couple of places; and the blinds were broken or missing slats in three of the windows. But none of that kept us from enjoying the cabin. Staff was very helpful with questions that we had; and when we had to call about the lock on our door not working, it was taken care of in 30 minutes! Overall a really nice stay at Frio Country Resorts -- would definitely go back if the opportunity arises.

  We stayed in a cabin on the Frio River for 4 days with two other families during our kid's Autumn school break. Although the weather was chilly, we had a great time. We were able to fish, grill, light the fire pit each night, roast marsh mellows, etc. At rainy times we spent time in each others cabin playing cards, board games, and watching movies. The cabins are very spacious with plenty of room for a family of four. One of the cabins had room for 12. Whenever there was a problem (i.e. A microwave oven went out in one cabin, the bathroom electricity went out in another one of the cabins) we called the office and they have someone on call 24/7 who came out within minutes and fixed the problems. There was a little grocery store at the office that we made several trips to when we ran out or forgot something i.e. Bbq sauce, mustard, etc. Although the water was very cold, some of our group jumped in the water on a couple of occasions. We also went sight seeing around the area and to nearby Garner State Park. All the beautiful colors, yellows and orange and brown green of the trees not to mention the sterp hills and cliffs were amazing. We saw deer everywhere as we drive around. Overall, we had a great time, took lots of pictures, and made a lot of unforgettable memories!

  Really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful view of woods & river. Tranquil & very restful. The only thing i didnt like was the giant mosquitos in the cabin. We spend first hour killing them. Also wifi didnt work, i reported it and was told it would be fixed but wasn't fixed. Everything else was awesome, even got to see a deer family and cardinals next to our cabin. Great getaway and very peaceful and restful. Just what we needed!

  All was good. I appreciate the bowls, cups, and silverware was present. I also noticed little things like measuring cups there even though I did not use them. The only issue I had was with the shower. The hot water handle was broken.
